When Nina goes on a search for her sister, not seen since the war, she meets up with Ryu, who indeed possesses the Dragon Eyes, and the two begin a journey that will lead them to many lands, meeting new friends and foes, and ultimately the mystery of the dragons and the Ancient Empire.
